What is Readership?

Readership

Readership or 'Average Issue Readership' research is conducted by asking the participant (age 15+) if they read the last edition of the title for more than 2 minutes.

Our readership research is carried out by world-leading market research agency, GfK NOP, whose standards conform to Market Research Society guidelines, and whose reputation for accuracy and good practice is second to none.

GfK NOP adhere to the Market Research Society's Code of Conduct and are BSI registered for Quality Control. The independent research study is one of the largest media research surveys conducted in the UK.

JICREG (The Joint Industry Committee for Regional Press Research) calculates readership by applying a reader per copy figure either from our own research (see above) or modelled by industry standards to the latest ABC certified circulation figures for the title.
